A Walk to Remember

Movie of the week is A Walk to Remember. A Walk to Remember is an older movie that was made in 2002. This movie is rated PG, the only reason it is rated PG is because at the beginning there is drinking involved.

A Walk to Remember features Shane West, who plays as Landon Carter in the movie. Landon is a teenager that is a trouble maker, him and his buddies are all drinking together but something goes wrong when another teen gets injured. Landon gets in trouble, but his punishment is to be part of the school play. The school play changes his life forever. Landon falls in love with Jamie Sullivan, she is the main actress in the school play that helps him learn the script.

I really enjoyed this movie because it shows the truth of high school and what can happen. There is many twists in the movie, including that Jamie is sick and doesn't want to fall in love with Landon because of it. This movie is very well liked by girls, but it is also an eye opener for the boys that take the time to watch it. It is a sad movie but also has a lot of happiness.

A Thousand Words is the movie of the week. A Thousand Words is rated PG-13, but is a very good movie. It has a very good storyline to it, with a life lesson involved also.

A Thousand Words stars Eddie Murphy, as the main character. The movie starts out as a usually movie, until Eddie gets done meeting with Dr. Sinja. That evening when Eddie returns home, a tree magically appears in his backyard. While Eddie is outside talking, he realises that every time he said a word, a leaf would fall from the tree. He has Dr. Sinja come over, and comes to the conclusion that the tree and Eddie are spiritual linked together. Eddie has about a thousands words left before all the leaves fall, once there are no more leaves Eddie will die.

The movie is a comedy and a very good movie with a story line. I really enjoyed the movie because it made me laugh but still keep my attention to want to find out what will happen next. I think this movie is kid appropriate, it only has a few swear words. If you enjoy movies with a little twist of magic involved this is a great movie.

HUNGER GAMES

Movie number three! Hunger Games is the movie for this blog. Hunger Games is not only a very popular movie but also a popular book. The movie is based of the books which is a book series.

Hunger Games takes place in the future where ever thing is different then today. Instead of cities or towns they call them districts, there is 12 districts. They pick a teen age boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. Each teenagers must fight until there is only one survivor left. Along with just worrying about killing each other the contestants must worry about the game itself. The game is ran like a video game and the government can through its own twist in just to make things more interesting.

I really enjoyed the movie because it does a really amazing job at getting most the details from the book in the movie. It is a very intense movie that keeps your attentions because you want to know what happens next. There is a lot of action, some killing is involved but nothing is shown on how they are killed. It also gives very good examples of how enemies work together and help each other when injured. It is a very interesting movie and I think everyone should watch the movie!

Lucky One

Movie number two!!! Lucky One is the movie of the week. It is known as a "chick flick"but I know of a few guys that didn't mind the movie.

The movies stars are Zac Efron (Logan) and Taylor Schilling (Beth). Logan is a Marine that is fighting in Iraq, while in Iraq he comes across a picture of a beautiful women that says "Stay Safe" on the back. He comes to believe that this picture is his angel that kept him safe while the unlucky ones died around him. When he returns home he is determined to find his angel and thank her. How does it end once he finds his angel? Watch the movie to get the answer!

The review on the movie is very mixed. Some say that they really like it but others say it was horrible. I enjoyed the movie because there is a lot of twist and turns on how he related to his angel. It is a very touching movie and gets you to think about what it is really like for our troops that are fighting for our country. I recommend the movies to girls and encourage them to have a guy watch it with them because they can pick up a few tips.

21 Jump Street

First blog!! Well, today I am going to talk about 21 Jump Street because that is the movie I watched this past week.

In 21 Jump Street two cops are sent back to a high school to try to blend in and try to find the supplier of an illegaly drug. The stars include Jonah Hill, Ice Cube and the one and only Channing Tatum! The review for this move got a 7.5 out of ten for the public.

The movie is rated R because of some actions and language, but overall it was a pretty humorous movie. It is one that you have to have a sense of humor to enjoy! I would say it is a movie that I would watch more then one time.
